FAQ
What The News Collective is, the licence we operate under, and how we handle sources, technology and corrections.
The News Collective is a UAE-based digital media and content platform operating under Media Licence No. 47033817. It is the parent brand behind a group of specialist publications covering football and golf — FootballNews.ae, GolfNews.ae and DubaiGolfGuide.com — and, over time, further verticals such as property, crypto and fashion.
We operate under UAE Media Licence No. 47033817, issued as a Free Zone licence. The licensed entity is a Free Zone Limited Liability Company (FZ-LLC) registered at VUET3618, Compass Building – Al Hulaila, Al Hulaila Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
No. We do not operate as a traditional or full-scale news organisation, and we do not seek to compete with established newspapers, broadcasters or media companies in the UAE. We do not employ journalists, reporters or an editorial newsroom conducting independent reporting.
Our role is primarily to summarise, highlight and promote already-published information, while clearly identifying and linking readers to the original source whenever applicable. The News Collective should therefore primarily be viewed as a digital content promotion and marketing platform, helping existing stories about the UAE and the region — and their original publishers — reach a wider audience.
No. We do not claim ownership of third-party reporting. References to third-party publications, organisations or sources do not imply any affiliation, endorsement or partnership unless expressly stated.
Our platform primarily uses automated technology to identify and present information that has already been published by established media outlets and other public sources. Monitoring, clustering and summarising are technology-assisted, while publishing decisions remain under human control.
Every item we publish identifies the outlet that reported it first where applicable and links readers back to that original reporting, so the publisher receives the traffic and the credit.
Tell us the publication, the article and what needs correcting. We review reports promptly and correct or remove items where required, with the change noted on the article.
We use images only where the licence permits it and record licence, creator and attribution details for each asset. Rights holders can contact us and we will review usage promptly.
FootballNews.ae, GolfNews.ae and DubaiGolfGuide.com are the first titles. Additional verticals — including property, crypto and fashion — are planned once the first titles are established.
