Getting it right, and fixing it when we don't

How we correct

• Correction. A factual error is fixed and noted on the article.
• Clarification. Wording that was accurate but open to misreading is sharpened, with a note.
• Update. A developing story gains new information; the article records when it was updated.
• Removal. Reserved for rare cases such as legal or rights obligations, and recorded internally.

Reporting an error

Tell us which publication and article is affected, what is wrong, and — where possible — the source that shows the correct information. Reach us via our contact page. We aim to respond to correction requests quickly.

Record keeping

Corrections are logged with the article across the network, so the editorial history of a story stays traceable.
