Dubai plays golf all year, but the city you play in changes completely between January and July. This is how to choose your window, and what to expect once you are on the tee.
High season: November to April
This is the window most visitors plan around. Daytime temperatures are comfortable, the professional calendar is in town, and the tee sheets at the well-known clubs fill up weeks ahead. If your trip is built around a specific course, book the round before you book the flight.
Tournament weeks change everything
When the DP World Tour is in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, host courses close parts of the layout to visitors and nearby clubs get busier. Check the calendar first: it is often smarter to play a host course the week before or after, and spend tournament week as a spectator.
Shoulder months: October and May
Mornings are still very playable, rates drop, and the courses are quieter. Afternoons get heavy. Book the first two hours after sunrise and treat anything after midday as a bonus.
Summer: June to September
Golf does not stop, it moves. Dawn rounds and floodlit nine-hole loops are the norm, twilight rates are the cheapest of the year, and clubs run shorter formats. Bring more water than you think you need, use the shade on every tee, and accept a slower pace.
